Summer Grants Program 2018
We are offering ten grants of between $5 and $500 in support of National Street Service participants who want to build ‘street experiments’ exploring how to make local streets better on behalf of their communities.
Applicants are welcome to apply individually, or as a team.

Applications will be Evaluated based on:
the quality of the research question
potential for the idea to provoke excitement about streets as better places for people
To be eligible for a grant, you must:
Have completed the Soul Searching training either:
Have an idea for a new street experiment inspired by your Soul Searching experience
Be available to conduct your street experiment and report back between Friday, July 13th and Monday, August 31st
Recipients of the grant will be required to:
Build and conduct a ‘street experiment’ to test an idea for how to make your local streets better places for the people who use them
Document your work and submit a report sharing the experiment process, including:
Building the experiment
The experiment in action in the street
Community and local reactions to the experiment
